Of course, if you have access to software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier, Sony Vegas or some other high quality video production software, then it may be a good idea to use that too.

But still, even something like Windows Movie Maker can get the job done, just don’t go overboard with effects and titles etc. Hell, all I would do is make a fade in for the beginning, then fade out at the end. No other editing needed, unless say, you want to add a logo to one of the corners. Of course, middle thirds are quite easy to add with the text tools in the latest version, and if you feel they’re needed, use them.

Maybe add a quick title card in with, “Name of show – Name of video” at the beginning, but make sure this lasts no more than 2-5 seconds, and maybe add a credits title card in at the end, but again, make this last no more than about 2-10 seconds.

Any advice on what software is simplest to use for creating short, basic, but professional looking videos? I am planning on using a video blog perhaps twice a week, and also embedding the video into an e-zine to send to contacts and prospects.
