Yeah, basically UK-PLC decided to pull the plug on www.StuzzIT.com, meaning that I went and registered a new domain, www.StuzzHosting.com for my hosting business.
However, this caused a lot of problems as many of my domains (before I got into the hosting business) were bought from UK-PLC, and all of my domains used nameservers at StuzzIT.com. This meant a lot of downtime.
Of course, anyone hosted on StuzzIT.com has received a free month of hosting as my way of saying sorry for the downtime, as well as just a general thanks for staying with us.
Welcome back to The Random One.

That is my formspring URL. Feel free to ask me anything, as long as it’s reasonable and won’t result in my death.

Something you have to wonder, is the design of The Random One adequate? Currently, it’s a blog of course, and I intend to keep it that way, but you have to wonder, what level of functionality is the right one?
Yes, I am The Random One.

The title explains what I want to do. I want to make some form of a big web based project. I want to give something like this a go. If anyone has any ideas, post them in the comments.
Let’s make things happen.

Just a bit of fun, went and made a random flash looper website with the help of Lappy and well, see if you like it:

I’ve recently been talking with my friend, Jay Miller, about sleep patterns. I was saying about how, it seems in the long run, it doesn’t really matter when you sleep, as long as you get approximately 8 hours for every 16 hours you are awake. Jay pointed out that, in this case, one could have 20 minute naps, 6 times a day, and still work efficiently.
Of course, this raises the question, does this affect the sleep cycle? It’s important to note that there are several different sleep stages, and it’s an interesting question as to whether or not these would all occur during these naps, and if not, are they necessary?
Jay claims that, while naps would reduce sleep inertia, he has reason to believe that there is evidence that memory could be affected by this.
Maybe if I get a lot of free time at some point I can test this out.

Moving Studio7031 over to the StuzzIT hosting has reminded me that well, Studio7031 is and has been dead for a while now, and sadly I can’t see that changing any time in the near future.
I definitely enjoyed the time at which we were making videos, but it’s just not possible anymore. The equipment got pretty much destroyed over the course of it all, and we made an extremely big loss, and hardly any gain whatsoever (yeah, the sponsors never paid up).
Simply put, I was destroyed emotionally and financially, yet at the same time, had we had more money, it wouldn’t have failed, but by more money, I mean a minimum of 65,000 pounds, 500,000 if possible.

I found a new website today – www.PleaseRobMe.com
PleaseRobMe is essentially a Twitter based search engine that finds tweets posted with location information and possible information about when somebody might be out of the house. It then instructs the world to rob them.
The developers claim that it was created solely to make people aware of the issues of sharing this kind of information online, and I have to agree that it can be quite risky. At the same time however, I do like the fact that tweets are public, since it means I don’t have to approve anyone to see my updates (and of course, there is the option to make tweets private).

One question that goes through my mind is:
Video blogging – is it effective?
I suppose it all depends on how you look at it. Text blogs are easier to create by far for many people, and even when you do have a webcam, editing the blog entries together in a professional manner can definitely be time consuming. You also have to remember that people may be reading your blog from a place of work, for example, where it would not be feasible for them to watch a video, due to say, a lack of headphones.
It is also important to remember that most video sharing websites do require plug-ins such as Adobe Flash to function, which can limit accessibility, since not all people are able to use these. Of course, this is easily defeated by the fact that it’s estimated at least 90% of computer users have Adobe Flash Player installed, but devices such as the iPhone do not have any form of Flash support. The best option in this situation, of course, would be to link to an MP4 version of the file, for example.

The more I browse the internet, the more I have to feel bad about the fact that I run a blog. Why? Because there’s too many of them. If I recall correctly, the figure is approximately one blog created every 6 six minutes. Straight away, I’m sure you’re aware that most of these blogs probably never get updated again, or at least live a very short life (I myself am guilty of this), but I’m sure there are many blogs that still remain without any real purpose.
